    GEM Processing & Recycling Services

    Our commitment to reuse and recycling is evident in our waste reuse programs, including communicating available tax incentives and making available to industry a forum for linking those generating waste by-products with potential users.

     

    In support of our goal to assist customers with waste minimization practices, our no-fee Waste Exchange service is another example of GEM’s desire to offer more than traditional waste disposal services.

     

    Waste Exchange Programs

     

    The following by-products are currently available in the GEM Waste Exchange Program:

    • Alum at 25 to 30 locations around the US. Clay based available in 40 to 400 ton shipments.

    • 3 to 4 drums of Diethylene Glycol. It is virgin material, off color but meets all other specs.

    • Hydrofluoric acid 5-49% in drums.

    • Buffered Oxide Etch (30-35% ammonium fluoride and approximately 5% hydrofluoric acid).

    • 60 bags/50 lb each – Lime - “Type S Lime” by Chemstar. Pictures can be provided upon request.

    • 50 bags/50 lb each – Lime - Miracle Morta-Loc (a type S lime) by Rolico Lime. Pictures can be provided upon request.

    • 3 cubic yard boxes of Cornstarch by Corn Products Company. Pictures can be provided upon request.
